I am a first-generation Chicana, born, raised, and educated in the Bay Area. During high school, my teachers connected me to Chabot College. I participated in various learning community projects and became a tutor, peer advisor, and mentor on campus. During my time at Chabot, I earned two Associate degrees #GoGladiators! I then transferred to San Francisco State University and earned a Bachelor's degree in Sociology with a minor in Latina/o Studies and a Master's degree in Counseling #GoGators!
